wren chicks have hatched !

How stupendous ! there are two tiny wren chicks in the nest on my front door !

I must be one of the very rare people to actually witness this !!!

After work each evening, the first thing I do after putting my bag and keys down, is a wander round the garden, at some point the neighbours cat joins in and we arrive at the top together, her ready for a little meal and a bowl of milk, and me for a milky coffee.

still my favourite colours.

Just Cherries !

The other evening there was a gentle knocking on the front door,

A neighbour bearing cherries! now they are just a pile of cherry stalks and stones.

Garden in June ( heaven )

This years kitchen garden, beans,

cherry tomatoes , basil, chives, parsley and dill.

The first bean flower, an amazing salmon pink!

Lilies , beautiful.

First cherry tomatoe ! not enough for a salad,

so I know I'll eat it freshly picked

whilst wandering round the garden...

The nieghbours cat who strongly believes

the garden and me belong to her.

The pretty climbing rose, beginning to bloom.

Sisters

My sister made these beautiful dolls, this watercolour doesn't really do them justice at all.

Over the years, many of my sisters creations have served as models for drawings

and paintings. What a gift from life to have a sister who makes so many incredible things.

Sheer Happiness ( rescued painting )

Painting this made me incredibly happy, a watercolour triumph, however it was destined to be given away.

It has now returned home, and has been placed on a small chest of drawers in my little entrance hall.

There are some pieces of work that one should not give away.

Unfinished Book Project

It somewhat grieves me, that I have not finished this illustration project . I have read all the artists block articles possible, and still the drawings stay a fantasy in my mind.

Playing ( Doll Project)

After a day of working out and patient pattern cutting, these little shoes were finally completed,

This new doll is tremendous fun, finally I am making a doll for myself, my sister found the perfect fabric for the dress, along with many extras , ribbons, buttons, laces. All colours and patterns that I like so very much.

The shoes are made with linen fabric, a sample book of beautiful colours tucked away in a treasure box some years ago . The little heart buckles are a gift from a work colleague,they are in fact those clips for paper, the name of which escapes me.
